Build agentic systems with us

Small team, real production systems, hands-on mentorship. You will ship code that runs live equity research pipelines, data visualizations, and multi-agent workflows — not slide decks.

How we work

Applied Agentic is a Hong Kong-based AI company building institutional-grade multi-agent systems for capital markets. We are a lean team — every person ships to production. We value curiosity, precision, and the ability to learn fast over credentials.

Open roles

HK-01

Research Engineer Intern

Comp Sci / Math · Recent graduates or 1–2 years experience · Hong Kong

You will work directly on our proprietary analytical systems — researching and developing multi-modal mixture-of-expert tools, building pipelines that transform alternative data into actionable insights, and deploying to our Google Cloud production environment. This is a backend-heavy, code-intensive role.

What you will do

  • Research and analyze alternative data sources; develop proprietary tools and inference insights using bleeding-edge techniques
  • Data transformation, signal generation, and feature engineering across structured and unstructured datasets
  • Research and develop multi-modal mixture-of-expert analytical tools for capital markets
  • Write and orchestrate LLM prompt chains and agentic workflows for structured research output
  • Work with Google Cloud deployment framework — CI/CD, container orchestration, cloud-native services
  • Hands-on work with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Pub/Sub messaging frameworks
  • Build and maintain D3.js and Canvas data visualizations for the browser

What we are looking for

  • Strong fundamentals in Python; exposure to Rust, Java, or C++
  • Comfort with the command line — git, shell scripting, package management
  • CLI and MCP development experience
  • Experience with core GenAI concepts (e.g., Large Language Models (LLM), multi-modal, large vision models) and experience with text, image, video, or audio generation
  • Hands-on experience with Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dialogflow
  • Desire to build multi-agent enterprise and compliance guardrail harnesses

Nice to have

  • Exposure to financial data and quantitative processes
  • Alternative and unstructured data processing and signal generation
  • Experience with one or more of the following: speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field
  • Aptitude to learn across multiple disciplines spanning mathematics, technology, and finance

Design & Data Intern

Art / Science / Design · Any year · Hong Kong

You will shape how complex financial data is presented to users — research pages, interactive charts, slide decks, and dashboards. This role sits at the intersection of design thinking and data literacy. No prior coding experience required — we will teach you.

What you will do

  • Design and iterate on data visualizations — interactive charts, research page layouts, and dashboard interfaces
  • Create slide deck layouts and visual templates for equity research output
  • Write and edit research summaries — translating analyst output into clear, readable prose
  • Build and maintain CSS stylesheets for the public site (we will teach you the basics)
  • QA live pages — check layout, typography, colour contrast, mobile responsiveness
  • Produce diagrams, infographics, video content, and brand assets for the site and social channels

What we are looking for

  • Strong visual sense — you notice when type is misaligned, colours clash, or spacing is inconsistent
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely in English; communicate in either English or Cantonese
  • Comfort with numbers — you don't need to be a quant, but you should be able to read a financial table and spot errors
  • Willingness to learn HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript on the job
  • Willingness to learn cutting-edge LLM and agentic AI related technology on the job
  • Interest in design tools and video creation & analysis models

Nice to have

  • Exposure to data visualization tools (Tableau, D3, Observable, Flourish)
  • Basic understanding of typography, grid systems, or information design
  • Experience with Markdown or static site generators
  • Interest in finance, economics, or current affairs
